Near Field Communication
We like every week to bring what we call a Prophecy Update. We show how news and trends in the world are corroborating centuries-old prophecies found in the Bible.
The mark of the beast was introduced by the apostle John when he wrote the Revelation of Jesus Christ in the first century. It is some sort of mark on your hand or forehead by which you will conduct all commerce. You won’t be able to buy or sell anything without this mark.
The global system involving this mark will already be in place before the world leader we call the antichrist comes to power. He will hijack the system and demand that you worship him – otherwise you will not be able to use the system to buy or sell anything.
Ours is the generation that has seen the technology developed and developing that could make a cashless global economy possible for the first time in human history.
Whenever there is an advancement or an announcement that furthers cashless payment I like to bring it to you. Have you heard of Near Field Communication, or NFC for short? It is “a short-range high frequency wireless communication technology which

It’s mainly aimed at being used in cell phones. Your cell phone becomes your credit card! In the future it could become your identification documents, like a drivers license or passport. The applications are almost endless.
On June 30th Business Wire India published an article titled, Citi Brings Next Generation Mobile Payments To India.

Citi today announced the launch of Citi Tap and Pay in the city of Bengaluru, thus bringing to India next-generation contactless credit card payments based on Near Field Communications technology. The launch of the Citi Tap and Pay pilot service will be one of the world’s largest and most comprehensive pilots ever undertaken… Citi has established a fully secure, scalable and interoperable mobile payments ecosystem in Bengaluru in collaboration with Nokia, Vodafone, MasterCard and ViVOtech.
With the launch of Citi Tap and Pay in India, customers in Bengaluru will experience the simplicity, ease and convenience of using their mobile phone as a credit card. The technology will allow customers to tap their mobile phone on a contactless reader at the point of sale to pay for purchases, eliminating the need for the traditional swiping of credit cards. The service also does away with the need for customers to send SMS or incur mobile data charges to make these payments.
Nokia will support the service with its NFC-enabled Nokia 6212 classic phones The 3G phone provides consumers the capability to conduct NFC-based interactions with other such everyday devices and services. Most importantly, NFC-enabled phones can

On June 26th an Ericcson executive announced, “A year from now, basically every new phone that’s sold will have [Near Field

Not exactly on your hand or in your forehead but moving that direction. Here is a creepy related story. It’s from March of this year and titled, Man Turns Finger Into Storage.

The line between man and machine is now slightly more blurry, thanks to one Finnish bloke’s decision to replace a missing digit with a USB Flash drive.
Jerry Jalava, a software developer from Helsinki, had the top part of his finger amputated after a motorbike accident last year. However, he’s since replaced it with a prosthetic finger that slips over the remaining bit of member and which has a tiny USB Flash drive hidden inside.
Accessing the drive is a little grim though, because the nail section of Jalava’s fake finger folds back to reveal the drive itself. This can then be slotted into a PC’s USB port while still being worn.
The finger USB has a 2GB storage capacity, but Jalava’s already said that he’s thinking about upgrading the phony finger to include a greater amount of storage and wireless technology, such as RFID.
Perhaps he’d also like to consider turning his finger into the world’s first NFC-enabled e-wallet digit?
